Hauling Rock

It took a couple of hours to gather this rock.

No--it's not very exciting.

Thoughts of Henri Nouwen while gathering this rock. Especially "The Genessee Diary: Report from a Trappist Monastery". Henri took six months to live with Monks in a Monastery. Much like other seekers of piety and aesthetics, his day was quite regimented. He spent four hours a day doing menial labor in the bakery. His discussion of doing such work I remember to this day--despite having read the book twenty five years ago. Essentially, his message was to put patience and loving in all that you do.
