The last log rafter will go in this morning. Then, except for some braces, the Post and Beam work will be done!! Yahoo!! I'm not sure if we have enough materials to complete the roof. Ordering the stuff takes a precision only a Swiss Clockmaker is capable of.
You think it'd be simple...and maybe it is for some people. The gravel was a case in point. We ended up with Ten Tons Too Much. Now we probably have too little barn wood. The Blue Jean insulation pile looks like we could finish off a High School Gymnasium with it---it looks way too much. And the antique tin (or I guess it's steel)? Looks like we won't have enough. And the dimensional lumber? God only knows the answer to that...
