The Sign that inspired an essay....

This hike went along the very path I took that day--over a year ago--when I ran across this fence and the sign on the ground above it. The fence got bulldozed by the firefighters (there is a new one there now).

The Keep Out sign that started me thinking of Walker's Rights...and which Mother Earth News picked up as a curiosity piece. Me? I still think it is the first critique of private property to be published in a national periodical since the time of Eugene Debs and Jack Reed.
