EcoSocialist Family Takes a Hike....

We took the day off in honor of Labor Day.

Finally, we have had a couple of days where the thermometer didn't crack 100 degrees. This has given us the opportunity to finally hike down the canyon to view the Feather River. It's a wonderful hike! The canyon is about one mile wide and 1500 feet deep. We have an excellent trail to the bottom (yes, I got permission from the landowners to hike it).

Joni, Jazmine and Kylie on the way down...

The girls along the Feather River. This pool is loaded with trout.

Lovely!!
It took us an hour to hike to the bottom at a seven year old's pace. Two hours to hike back up. The girls were troopers!!
