Mud Plastering the Inside of the House...

Finally, a nice day to get some work done. My project this week is to get the inside of the house mudded.

Jazzy, looking unhappy...

I found a seam of clay on the property which is just perfect for making the plaster. It makes quite a bit of difference as to how the plaster hangs on to the straw. This clay I found is perfect. Makes it easy...
This plaster is made of clay, sand and a bit of straw. Why use drywall?

Yes, you are doing a masterful job of plastering, but I believe that great clay was discovered by yours truly. I may be a broken down, weary, whiny wife, but I know I found that great clay layer while preparing the veggie garden(which doesn't appreciate the qualities of the clay as much as we builders do) So keep digging it all out, and then we can bring in some soil that has a chance of growing something edible...
